Staffs Classic Trials Club is an offshoot of parent club Stafford Auto MC and has been formed to cater and organise trials speciifically for British Pre75 and twinshock machines. Air-cooled monoshocks won't be excluded but the club's preference is for the British and twinshock bikes, if you own an air-cooled mono alongside a British or twinshock, we ask that you give the latter an outing rather than the mono. Older twinshocks are disappearing from classic bike events so it would be nice to see some 70s Spanish bikes competing, as well as TY Yamahas, Kawasakis and Suzukis etc.

Unlike the Stafford Auto club which is an ACU club, Staffs Classic is run under the governance of the AMCA organisation. The reasoning to go AMCA with the classic club is because most classic clubs are AMCA governed and many riders won't hold an ACU licence and ACU day licences can't just be allocated ad-hoc, they have to be bought in advance which is difficult if you don't know how many non licence holders will be coming to an event. AMCA day licences for non-licence holders are covered in the entry fee by simply riding as a guest rider. Any rider that doesn't hold an AMCA licence just states guest rider on the entry form

All trials will be pre-entry online as I run the club single handed and this is the most efficient way to process the entry. Entry fee is a flat £20 for everyone which covers insurance for licence holders and guest riders. PAYMENT IS NOT TAKEN ONLINE - you pay cash on the day so that all you have to do is arrive, sign-on, pay and collect your riding number, which effectively equates to enter on the day. If you enter but can't make the trial you don't pay, all that is asked is that you let me know you aren't coming so that I'm not waiting for you to come and sign on

There are three seperate routes to choose from, the harder route will be set to offer a challenge to give the more experienced Twinshock and British bike riders something to go at, there will be no hinge in the bike or trick riding sections to suit Monos, so if you're a handy rider on an A/C mono you might have an easy day. It will be no-stop rules. Route marking will follow existing Stafford Auto flags, see the About Stafford Auto Club page for information on this, but only for the way route marking works, the descriptions for section severity are obviously for the modern trials, not classic. Sections will be similar severity to current classic clubs such as Peak, Midland classic etc

A link to the entry form for Classic events will appear on the home page, usually 2 weeks before the trial date
